Cookie policy

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. This page lists every cookie this website sets. Cookies the website needs in order to work are set without asking; analytics cookies are set only if you agree to them. The website does not use your browser's local storage or similar technologies.

Cookies the website needs

These cookies are set because the website cannot provide what you ask for without them, which is why the law allows them without consent.

• fs_consent: set by flexskill.education. Remembers your answer to the cookie banner: which categories you accepted, the version of this policy you were shown, and when you answered. Lasts 6 months. Without it, you would be asked again on every page.

• __session: set by flexskill.education, only after you sign in or create an account. Keeps you signed in. Lasts 5 days, or until you sign out. Scripts on the page cannot read it.

Analytics cookies, only with your consent

If you choose "Accept all", or turn on "Analytics" under "Choose" or "Cookie settings", the website loads Google Analytics from Google Ireland Limited, which then sets these cookies on flexskill.education:

• _ga: a random identifier that tells one browser apart from another, so that visits can be counted. Lasts 2 years from your most recent visit.

• _ga_L4L07P5N2M: keeps track of your current visit for this website's analytics. Lasts 2 years from your most recent visit.

Google reads these cookies when it receives measurements from the website, so Google has access to them. What Google records, and how long it keeps it, is explained in the privacy policy. If you do not agree, Google Analytics is not loaded at all and these cookies are never set.

Advertising cookies

The website sets no advertising or remarketing cookies. The "Marketing" option in the cookie settings has no effect at present. If we ever add such cookies, we will ask you again before setting them.

Other websites

Links to the full enquiry form on Typeform and to our social media profiles take you to other websites, which set their own cookies under their own policies. Nothing from those services is loaded on this website, and its fonts are served from this website itself.

Changing your choice

On your first visit, the cookie banner offers "Accept all", "Essential only" and "Choose". After that, use "Cookie settings" at the foot of any page to change your choice at any time. We ask again after six months, or sooner if we change which cookies we use.

If you withdraw consent to analytics, Google Analytics stops measuring straight away and is not loaded on later pages. Analytics cookies already set stay in your browser until they expire or you delete them. You can delete them, or block cookies altogether, in your browser's settings. The website works without any optional cookies; if you also block the necessary ones, you cannot stay signed in and the banner appears on every page.
